Best Disc Golf Course (and most kid friendly)
Sometimes you've gotta put the hoops down and throw some discs. Okay, so I haven't been to all the courses around/ near Boulder County in Colorado. However even compared to the courses back home, this course is the most kid friendly. Many of the courses we have found have dry rugged terrain and are on big open fields. The course in Arvada really lives up to it's common referral as the 'Grand Daddy of Disc Golf Courses'. Named after Grandmaster and Senior Grandmaster titles and records holding, "gentle, fair and friendly", Johnny Roberts (1931-1994), the "Squeezer Geezer". This course boasts lush green grass, mature trees, a shaded playground (with swings), a creek (excellent for throwing rocks into), bridges (good for 'pooh sticks'), cement tees, a practice hole, plenty of parking (right by the first hole), easy navigation through out the course, and a paved trail allowing access to many of the holes. An added bonus is the skate park which my son loves to take a break and admire the skaters. This course is perfect for those with a Sport/ Jogging Stroller.
Holes: 18- Mach3
Tee Type: Cement
Course Length: 5324'
Average Length: 295.78'
10 holes under 300'
7 holes between 300' to 400'
1 hole over 400'
