Loomiller Park, Disc Golf Course

This is a 9 hole frisbee golf course in Longmont, Colorado. The park is only the size of a city block, but features a large pond with a bridge and several mature trees. It also has a nice playground and swings. As well as bathrooms, when in season. This park is great for parents whom want to throw a quick few discs and then let the kids play. Our Phil & Ted's Sport stroller works wonderfully across the lawn and the paved path. A 9 hole course, opposed to an 18 hole, would also be handy for those youngster or adults just learning how to play. This course is mostly flat with no major hazards besides the pond. On the first hole you must throw right near the water. I just avoid this by throwing well away from the water and going around. It might cost me an extra throw, but atleast I don't lose my disc in the water. The 2nd and 3rd holes are also somewhat near the water, but not as likely to interfere. - Anne , posted 11/15/07 |
